May 01, 2021

RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) inaugurated the "Distinguished Transport Partner" program aimed at strengthening partnership with the private sector working in various transport activities.

The program benefits transport companies that own no less than 500 licensed vehicles or various sizes including trucks, buses, taxis or rental. The new initiative aims to enhance and develop the authority’s services provided to investors in the activities of land, sea, and rail transport.

The TGA said that the program was triggered by the tremendous economic value of the transport sector and its role in supporting the national non-oil economy and diversifying its sources.

The initiative takes advantage of its digital channels to launch the program, including (Naql platform) in addition to the previously launched 16 business service centers in 15 cities around the Kingdom.

For his part, Eng. Fahad Al-Baddah, TGA general supervisor of operation and digital transformation, disclosed that the authority is keen to strengthen its partnership with the private sector as an important partner in the Kingdom's pioneering role regionally and internationally in the field of transport and logistics.

This is in parallel with its effort to find direct and interactive channels of communication with investors by facilitating their electronic services and covering the need for immediate service centers in 15 cities in the Kingdom.

He added that these efforts ensure the quality and sustainability of business development with the private sector in a stimulating and encouraging environment, both for the local or international investors, and accelerate the achievement of high-value strategic goals.

These goals are increasing the resilience of the economy and supporting sustainable prosperity and growth, in a way that achieves the strategic vision associated with the “Shareek” initiative, which was launched by the Crown Prince last month.

Al-Baddah confirmed that the authority supported the program with digital communication platforms, including the recently launched website; WWW.NAQL.SA, in addition to launching other interactive accounts for customer services on the various social mediate networks under the account: @Naql_SAUDI. — SPA
