Prince Khalid holds key talks with Pakistan army chief

JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman met here early Friday with Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between the two countries, particularly in the military and defense fields.

Prince Khalid and Gen. Bajwa also discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation to maintain security and stability, in addition to issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by senior officials on the Saudi side as well as the Pakistani senior officer's accompanying delegation.

Prince Khalid later tweeted about his meeting with the Pakistani army chief, saying: “Had an excellent meeting with my brother General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, to discuss our defense relations and affirm our two countries’ goal to preserve regional peace and stability.
