MANAMA — "Smile" Initiative, an initiative of Bahrain Future Society for Youth, which provides psychosocial support to children with cancer and their parents in the Kingdom of Bahrain, received part of the proceeds of the “Love & Inspire” art exhibition.

The exhibition was organized by Art Fusions Studio Bahrain in collaboration with Fosbis marketing agency and with the support of Harbour Gate from March 21 to April 3, 2021.

In partnership with the “Smile” initiative, a display stand was allocated to showcase artworks created by children affiliated with the initiative, to provide these young heroes with courage, moral support, and to bring joy into their hearts.

The exhibition included other artworks presented by thirty well-known artists and their family members, children, and grandchildren, who formed what could be called "artistic families" in the exhibition, including distinguished guest artists, Mariam Fakhro, Nabeela Al Khayer, Ella Prakash and Seema Baqi.

The children of the "Smile" initiative displayed their artworks alongside more than 100 paintings by artists, which provided the young talents with an opportunity to display their works in front of a large audience.

The exhibition, which was dedicated to Bahrain Mother's Day, also focused on highlighting the efforts of mothers in shaping the values of their children and grandchildren and refining their talents, including teaching them drawing and encouraging them to be creative.

Chairman of Future Society for Youth, Sabah Abdul Rahman Al Zayani while receiving support at the "Smile" initiative headquarters in Umm Al-Hassam, stressed the importance of events such as “Love & Inspire” art exhibition in highlighting the cause of children with cancer in an innovative way, and mobilizing interest and support for this segment of society.

“The exhibition allowed our young heroes to display their work in a way that contributes to boosting their spirits and bringing joy to their hearts and the hearts of their families.

“We extend our thanks and appreciation to Art Fusions Studio Bahrain for organizing this important exhibition that contributes to a major community cause,” Al Zayani said.

For her part, Irina Kotova, founding member of Art Fusions Studio Bahrain, stated that the partnership with the "Smile" initiative at “Love & Inspire” art exhibition contributed to the success of the exhibition and added a profound human dimension to it.

“Art helps make the world a better place and is one of the best ways to share joy, hope, inspiration and courage, especially in such a challenging time. We have partnered with the “Smile” initiative to extend our support to their noble work and to the young heroes.

“We were delighted to welcome young talents affiliated with the ‘Smile’ initiative to join the team of participating artists and to exhibit their beautiful “mother’s love” themed artworks which have touched the hearts of many,” Kotova said. — SG
