GAZA CITY — An Israeli air raid has destroyed a high-rise building housing several international media offices in the Gaza Strip.

The airstrike came roughly an hour after the Israeli military ordered people to evacuate the building.

There was no immediate explanation over why the building was targeted.

It followed an Israeli airstrike overnight that killed at least 10 members of a single family in a refugee camp in Gaza, and continued ethnic unrest within the state of Israel between Jews and Arabs.

There were also widespread Palestinian protests on Friday n the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces shot and killed at least 10 people.

Palestinians are marking Nakba day on Saturday, when they commemorate the estimated 700,000 people who fled or were driven from their homes in what is now Israel during the 1948 war surrounding its creation, raising the possibility of more unrest. — Agencies
