Prince Faisal, Blinken discuss bilateral relations, Gaza ceasefire in phone call

JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan held talks over the telephone with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

During the call, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between the two countries and reviewed aspects of cooperation on regional and international challenges.

According to a statement from the US Department of State, Prince Faisal and Blinken “expressed their support for the ceasefire between Israel, Hamas, and other parties in Gaza, and discussed efforts to reduce risks of further conflict.”

“Secretary Blinken also raised the importance of international support for humanitarian and development efforts in Gaza,” the statement added.
