RIYADH — King Abdulaziz Public Library at Beijing University has launched several cultural and educational courses in the Arabic language, its sciences and literature, in a bid to spread the language in China.

As part of its development plans to provide books in various fields of knowledge for those interested in the Arabic and Islamic culture and to develop search mechanism electronically according to the best information systems, the library branch in China held a course for its affiliates to improve the quality of indexing and expand its influence through using CALIS.

Since its inception in 2018, the library seeks to increase the level of Arab-Chinese cultural and education exchanges under the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The library provides all universities and educational institutions with paper and digital copies of books in the Arabic language, so as to enhance the teaching of the Arabic language in China. — SPA
