MANAMA — The governor of the Saudi General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Suhail Mohammed Abanmi, who is also the chairman of the King Fahd Causeway General Authority (KFCA), paid an inspection visit to the exit point at the causeway, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
He was received by Bahrain's Customs President Shaikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who is also the vice-chairman of the KFCA, and security directors. Bahrain's customs chief congratulated Abanmi on his appointment as GAZT governor, wishing him success in his new duties.
They discussed key KFCA projects and plans to enhance performance, develop systems and optimize the use of modern technologies, in order to serve this vital facility that links the two countries and to contribute to raising the efficiency of work and ways to support the tourism and commercial movement.
GAZT governor thanked KFCA vice chairman for his keenness in supporting and following up on the implementation of projects, commending the efforts of the security directorates on the Bahraini side of the causeway.
