Man held for stabbing 3 security guards at Dammam mall

DAMMAM — A Saudi citizen was arrested for attacking three security guards stationed at a shopping mall in Dammam with a sharp object, the media spokesman for the Eastern Region Police, Lt. Col. Muhammad Al-Shehri, said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.

According to the statement, the man, who is in his early thirties, attacked the security guards for not allowing his mother to enter the mall over non-compliance with coronavirus preventive measures.

The victims are reported to be in stable condition following the attack.

The accused, however, has been referred to public prosecution after necessary legal measures were taking against him, according to the statement.
