JEDDAH — Al-Murjan Holding Group has launched a blood donation campaign in cooperation with King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, coinciding with the celebration of World Blood Donor Day, June 14.

The Group said that the campaign comes within the framework of interest in community participation and to educate the community about the importance of donating blood, promoting the culture of donation and volunteering, and supporting the blood bank.

The campaign aims to provide a sufficient amount of blood units, in addition to raising awareness among citizens about the importance of donating blood and its role in saving people’s life, as Allah Almighty says: “whoever saves a life is as though he had saved all mankind”.

The Group confirmed that the donation has five health benefits, as it protects against the risk of heart disease, renews red blood cells, improves blood flow, reduces harmful iron stores, and reduces the incidence of cancer. — SG
