JEDDAH — Fully vaccinated travelers from Saudi Arabia can visit Germany, beginning on June 25, as the Western European country eases movement restrictions for non-EU nationals in a move aimed at reviving the tourism sector hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Making the announcement on its Twitter handle, Germany’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia tweeted on Thursday, saying: “We are pleased to announce that fully vaccinated travellers will be able to enter Germany from 25.06.2021.”

“Visa applications of fully vaccinated travellers can be accepted from 21.06.2021, the statement added.

But travelers will have to have been completely vaccinated at least 14 days prior to their arrival with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency.

The move, however, does not include travelers from countries where the spread of COVID-19 is rampant.
