RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman have sent cables of congratulations to Spain’s King Philip VI on the anniversary of his accession to the throne.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince wished the Spanish king good health and happiness, and the government and people of Spain progress and prosperity.

King Felipe VI acceded to the throne on June 19, 2015, following the abdication of his father Juan Carlos.

On June 2, 2014, King Juan Carlos declared his desire to abdicate the throne to his son and signed a decree to abdicate from the throne on June 18 after obtaining the approval of the Spanish parliament.
