RIYADH — The Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Bin Mohammad Al-Sheikh met in Catania, Italy, Tuesday with the UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Stefania Giannini.

During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation and exchange of experiences in education, and the Kingdom’s experience in e-learning and distance education, on the sidelines of the G20 Education Ministers’ meeting.

She hailed the great success being achieved by the Kingdom in e-learning, during the coronavirus pandemic, and in providing education for all with high quality standards.

She also added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made a remarkable success story for the world with the rapid transformation of distance education, the volume of interaction in the Madrasati (My School) platform, stressing that it is among the best four global models documented by UNESCO. — SPA
