RIYADH —
The Arab Coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia on Wednesday intercepted and destroyed four explosive-laden drones launched by the Houthi militia towards the southern region of the Kingdom.

In a statement, the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said the Iran-backed militia continues to target civilians and civilian objects, adding that the coalition forces are taking all operational measures to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure objects from hostile attacks.

The latest attack on Wednesday comes a day after the coalition forces foiled the Houthi drone attack targeting Khamis Mushait.

On Saturday, the coalition forces destroyed as many as 17 explosive-laden drones fired by the Houthi militia targeting Khamis Mushait and the southern region in the Kingdom including the city of Najran.
