Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH —
The Museums Commission, one of 11 new authorities set up by the Ministry of Culture last year, launched on Wednesday its official website at https://museums.moc.gov.sa/, serving as a communication window with sector researchers, the commission's partners and owners of private museums in Saudi Arabia.

Through its website, the commission provides all information related to museums in the Kingdom through various sections, one of which gives an overview of the commission since its launch, besides other sections about its scope, roles, as well as its vision and mission towards the sector.

This is in addition to a section dedicated to the museum sector's initiatives, programs and projects falling within the commission’s strategic plan, as well as the media center section, which monitors the commission’s news and highlights its role in advancing the sector.

The commission is responsible for organizing the museum sector, supporting and empowering its practitioners, developing its environment and upgrading its outputs, in line with the Ministry of Culture’s objectives aimed at advocating culture as a lifestyle, raising the level of its contribution to the domestic product and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position.
