RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s anti-corruption authority’s chief Mazen Al-Kahmous met here on Tuesday with US Department of Treasury's Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Paul Ahern and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the president of Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) and the top US official discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in the fight against corruption between the two countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The visiting US official and the delegation accompanying him were briefed on the Kingdom's most remarkable achievements in its efforts to promote integrity and combating corruption at the local and international levels, including the "Riyadh Initiative," which aimed at strengthening international cooperation among law enforcement authorities concerned with combating corruption.
Ahern praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in combating corruption and promoting transparency. He also shared the US experience in the anti-graft fight with Al-Kahmous.
