Health minister signs agreement to promote culture of using car seats for newborns

RIYADH — Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah signed on Thursday a community partnership agreement with Maqad Foundation, a non-profit endowment institution, to promote the culture of using car seats for newborns and to distribute to 30,000 car seats to maternity hospitals affiliated with the health ministry in all regions of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement seeks to enhance the contribution of the private sector to health services in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

It is noteworthy that the community participation program is one of the new initiatives of the health ministry aimed at activating all components of society to contribute to health development and open new horizons in the relationship between the ministry and society in a way that enhances the health of citizens.
