RIYADH — The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education have agreed to implement an additional joint program to vaccinate 5 million male and female students (aged over 12 years) against COVID-19 this month.

The program will include the remaining male and female teachers, the administrative staff, university students, faculty members, male and female trainees, and the training and administrative staff in training institutions in the public and private sectors, who have not yet received the vaccine.

It comes in preparation to resume educational activities in person in the next academic year for of all students.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) started last week vaccinating children aged 12 to 18 with Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.
