RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in various regions of the Kingdom to look for the crescent of the month of Dhul Hijjah on Friday evening, Dhul Qaadah 29, corresponding to July 9, according to Umm Al-Qura Calendar.

In a statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday morning, the Supreme Court called on whoever sights the crescent by naked eyes or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register his testimony, or report to the nearest local authorities in order to help reach the nearest court.

The Supreme Court hoped that whoever has the sighting ability would join committees formed for this purpose in various regions of the Kingdom in anticipation of reward from God for their cooperation in righteousness and piety in this noble deed that would be beneficial for the entire Muslims.
