NEOM — The Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih reasserted here Sunday that the current visit of Sultan of Oman Haitham Bin Tarik to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia embodies the resolve of the two countries leaderships to enhance fraternal relations and promote them, in all fields.

In addition, the visit plays a role to deepen and consolidate them, looking forward to contribute to stimulating aspects of bilateral cooperation, remarkably, in the economic and investment domains, in the best way to realize prosperity to the two brethren peoples, Al-Falih added.

In a press statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister said that the bilateral trade volume has posted an increasing growth, during the years before the coronavirus pandemic, pointing out that the volume has since resumed the growth, in 2021, as it experienced a notable and ascending recovery.

As a result, he stated that the volume of trade between the Kingdom and Sultanate has surpassed SR2 billion, in the first quarter of this year, while the number of Saudi investors (individuals, companies and establishments) has outpaced 1,235 against as many as 320 Omani companies, operating in the Kingdom, by the end of the second quarter of this year.

Overall Saudi investments, in the Sultanate of Oman, have reached SR24 billion against SR4.7 billion for the Omani investments, in the Kingdom, he concluded. — SPA
