LONDON — Saudi British Joint Business Council at the Federation of Saudi Chambers in London is scheduled to hold Tuesday a forum that will gather investors with representatives of the two governments to discuss the role of the private sector in supporting the economic reform under the Saudi Green Initiative.

This is part of the round table action for sustainable investment that was launched in October 2020 and following the launch of Saudi Green Initiative that aims at enhancing the regional and international role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in producing clean and renewable energy.

UK Minister of Investment Gerry Grimstone said that the forum would shed light on the important investment opportunities for both countries following the launch of the UK of the ten-point plan for a green industrial revolution and following launching the Saudi Green Initiative.

For his part, co-chairman of the Saudi British Joint Business Council Dr. Imad Al-Thukair said that the council supports the UK-Saudi cooperation in main sectors under the Saudi Vision 2030 including the fields of smart cities, renewable energy and green investment. — SPA
