LONDON — British Health secretary Sajid Javid has tested positive for coronavirus, despite having received both vaccination jabs.
In a video message on his Twitter handle on Saturday, the health secretary said that his symptoms were “very mild” and he was self-isolating at home with his family.
The minister is the latest in a line of senior Government figures to contract the virus - including his predecessor Matt Hancock.
Boris Johnson also contracted the virus and was hospitalized.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the UK health secretary said: "This morning I tested positive for coronavirus.
"I’m waiting for my PCR result, but thankfully I have had my jabs and symptoms are mild.
"Please make sure you come forward for your vaccine if you haven’t already." — Agencies
