Saudi Arabia reports 1,256 new COVID-19 infections, 1,155 recoveries and 14 deaths

RIYADH
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Saturday recorded 1,256 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 14 more people died due to complications caused by the virus.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 516,949 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,155.

The ministry also said that a total of 1,155 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 497,965.

The Riyadh region reported the highest number of new cases with 280, followed by the Eastern region with 244, the Makkah region with 170 and the Asir region with 150 infections.

The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with just one of them reporting less than 10 infections.

According to the ministry, there were 10,829 active cases and 1,385 of them were in critical condition
