First batch of Umrah pilgrims arrives in Grand Mosque after Hajj

MAKKAH — After the successful completion of the Hajj season, the first batch of Umrah pilgrims arrived at the Grand Mosque early Sunday, adhering to coronavirus precautionary measures, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, in coordination with the concerned authorities, organized the entry of pilgrims to the Grand Mosque through specific doors, ensuring the application of precautionary measures and the physical distancing.

The presidency’s efforts come in the implementation of the directives of the wise leadership for taking full care of the guests of God and facilitating them to perform their rituals with ease and in an atmosphere full of tranquility, spirituality, and tranquility.
