King, Crown Prince congratulate Ethiopian PM on re-election

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman sent a cable of congratulations to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on being re-elected for another term, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.

In his cable, King Salman extended his congratulations to the Ethiopian prime minister, wishing him all the success and more progress and prosperity for his country and fellow citizens.

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman sent a similar cable of congratulations to the Ethiopian premier.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed won the country’s elections, which were held recently, with an overwhelming majority.

Abiy's ruling Prosperity Party won 410 out of 436 seats, giving him another five-year term in office.
