Oman records 4,912 new COVID-19 cases, 255 deaths in 10 days

MUSCAT —
Oman's Ministry of Health recorded 4,912 new cases of coronavirus and as many as 255 virus-related deaths in the Sultanate between July 15 to July 24, the Omani News Agency reported on Sunday.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the Sultanate to 293,954 and 3,753 respectively.

The ministry also said that 12,008 more patients recovered during the above-mentioned period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 275,760.

The ministry added that the total number of currently hospitalized patients stands at 786, out of whom 315 are in intensive care units.

Meanwhile, the health ministry said it has resumed the national coronavirus campaign for the target categories (18 years and above).

On Sunday, vaccination centers in all governorates of the Sultanate witnessed a good turnout from the target groups.
