Saudi Gazette report

JEDDAH — The United States has expressed its condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks with armed drones and ballistic missiles, targeting civilians and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia’s southern region.

In a statement on Monday, the US Department of State said: “We condemn the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia following the calm over Eid Al-Adha. The Houthis must stop their destabilizing actions and commit to an immediate, comprehensive ceasefire to help end the Yemen war. Time to return to negotiations and end the conflict.

Saudi Arabia-led Arab Coalition forces intercepted four Houthi militia drones and a ballistic missile targeting the Kingdom’s southern region on Saturday.

The Houthi attacks have also been strongly condemned by Saudi Arabia’s allies in the region as well as Arab, Islamic, and Gulf organizations.

While denouncing the recent attacks, they once again called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in reining in the militia as its acts pose a threat to regional as well as global security and stability.
