Two planes carrying Saudi COVID-19 medical aid arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR —
The two Saudi aircraft sent today by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the charity arm of Saudi Arabia, arrived here on Thursday to help Malaysia combat the coronavirus pandemic, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The medical aid comes in the implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman following the request made by Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein during his call with the Crown Prince.

The aid includes 100 ventilators, 150 portable ventilators, 319 oxygen concentrators, 30 respiratory support devices, 100 portable ventilators consumables, 150 electric medical beds, 15 vital signs monitors, 10 central vital signs monitors, 27 portable vital signs monitors, 3,000,000 surgical masks, 1,000,000 N95 masks, 500,000 medical gloves, 180 pulse oximeters, 50 intravenous infusions pumps, 50 intravenous solutions pumps, 7 defibrillators, 5 video laryngoscopes, 5 electrocardiographs (ECGs), and 10,000 protective gowns.

With regard to the provision of one million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, it will be done in coordination with the office of the Tunisian foreign minister by securing a contract with one of the approved international vaccine makers to supply the required quantities directly to Malaysia, the SPA added.
