ROME — Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan Al Saud met here Friday with his Italian counterpart Dario Franceschini, on the sidelines of the G20 member states meeting being hosted by Italy.
During the meeting, Prince Badr thanked the Italian minister for his country's tireless efforts to serve the Sherpa culture within activities of the G20 Summit. He also affirmed the Kingdom's keenness to enhance constructive cultural cooperation with Italy.
Prince Badr also on Friday met with the UK Minister of State for Digital & Culture, Caroline Dinenage, on the sidelines of the G20 member states meeting being hosted by Italy.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cultural cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Britain, where Prince Badr affirmed the Kingdom's keenness to enhance this cooperation, and the importance of joint work to enhance the role of modern technologies in documenting and preserving cultural heritage.
He also met with Dr. Webber Ndoro, the director-general of International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), on the sidelines of the G20 member states meeting being hosted by Italy.
During the meeting, Prince Badr thanked ICCROM for its efforts to preserve and restore the world heritage, asserting the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the two sides in the fields of heritage, antiquities and other related fields. — SPA
