RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan spoke on Monday over the phone with the newly appointed Algerian foreign minister, Ramtane Lamamra, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the call, the Saudi foreign minister congratulated his Algerian counterpart on assuming a new role.

Prince Faisal told the Algerian foreign minister that he looked forward to working with him to strengthen relations between the two countries.

They reviewed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them to achieve the interests of the two countries and their citizens.

Both foreign ministers also discussed regional and international developments of common interest.
