SSC, CNES discuss cooperation in space research

PARIS — The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Space Commission (SSC) Eng. Abdullah Bin Amer Al-Sawaha met here Monday with the Chief Operations Officer of the French Space Agency (CNES) Lionel Suchet, in order to enhance cooperation in the fields of space industry and discuss promising opportunities.

The two parties discussed the prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries in the space sector and its technologies, including future partnership in the research and scientific fields, technical cooperation and investments in the space sector.

The meeting comes as part of Al-Sawaha tour of a host of institutions and companies concerned with the space sector in UK and France, with the aim to enhance SSC's efforts in the sector and cooperate with various international bodies specialized in space technologies. — SPA
