KSrelief chief, Yemeni minister discuss relief projects

RIYADH — Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah met here Sunday with Yemeni Minister of Health and Population Dr. Qassem Mohammed Buhaibeh.

During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian and relief projects related to the Yemeni health sector, as well as the efforts exerted to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Yemen.

For his part, Dr. Buhaibeh expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for its great support to the health sector in Yemen. He affirmed that Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince, tops the countries supporting Yemen.

It is noteworthy that the KSrelief has implemented more than 280 health projects in Yemen, with a cost of more than $752,283,000.

In Hajjah, backed by KSrelief, the Al-Jaada Health Center Clinics here have provided treatment services for beneficiaries. During the period from July 22 to 28, 2021, the clinics received 1,394 beneficiaries with various health conditions and provided them with necessary medical services.

The laboratory department also received 282 people, and the clinics provided 1,394 individuals with medications.

In Khartoum, KSrelief inaugurated the voluntary medical program for oral and maxillofacial surgery in Sudan, in partnership with the Muslim World League.

The medical program, which was kicked off Saturday, comes within the voluntary programs implemented by KSrelief in a number of countries, with the aim of providing the necessary medical care to the low-income individuals and families. — SPA
