MoH: First dose of COVID-19 vaccine brings down hospitalization by 71% and critical cases by 80%

RIYADH — Deputy Minister of Health for Preventive Health Dr. Abdullah Asiri said that the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines has contributed immensely to bringing down hospitalization by 71 percent and critical cases by 80 percent.

With the number of those who have received the second dose of the vaccine reaching 35 percent, he pointed out that the impact of vaccination has become evident on the falling curve of the overall cases of coronavirus infection.

Dr. Asiri said that there is an accelerated decline in the number of coronavirus cases in parallel with the increase in immunization with the second dose of the vaccine, and this shows that the path is clear in front of the Kingdom that it can get rid of the pandemic in the near future.
