RIYADH — The Ministry of Justice revealed through the Central Attribution of Documentation that it has completed 153,000 requests for social cases since last January.

The ministry also launched a digital guide for notarization services that recently moved from courts to the new notarization system.

According to the ministry, the list of requests included certification of marriage, documentation of affinity, and documentation of marriage financing.

The ministry confirmed that it is continuing to enhance its digital capabilities,, in its various sections, with the aim to make the portal more efficient and user friendly.

The notary jurisdictions that have been transformed from courts to notaries include, notarizing contracts and declarations, dividing common property — if uncontested, and expunging deeds of real property.

In addition, marriage is notarized if one of the parties is a non-Saudi, while divorce and a relevant agreement are notarized regarding custody, visits and reconciliation.
