JEDDAH — The Jeddah Governorate and its provincial municipalities carried out 3,832 monitoring rounds to follow up on business compliance with precautionary measures.

The monitoring rounds were conducted Tuesday and 66 violations were spotted and 62 facilities were closed.

The rounds included 19 sub-municipalities and 15 governorate municipalities with many violations of the protective measures spotted during those rounds.

Violations ranged from failure in maintaining safe distances between customers and allowing them to wear their masks correctly.

The facilities also failed to check the customers’ temperature measurements and ignored the obligation to show their immunization status in the “Tawakkalna” App while entering a facility.

The secretariat confirmed ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with guidelines and precautionary measures in order to limit spread of the virus.

Customers were advised to comply with precautionary measures and report any violations to the Jeddah Municipality.
