MOSCOW — Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman held talks on Tuesday with Russian Director of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev.
They reviewed the bilateral defense cooperation programs, and ways to grow them in the context of our partnership.
Prince Khalid also met with the Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Representative of the President for the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov and Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Russian State Duma Leonid Slutsky.
During the talks, they reviewed recent international and regional developments, and discussed our efforts to address mutual challenges faced by our two countries.
The Saudi deputy defense minister concluded a two day visit to Russia where he attended the Army 2021 international military-technical forum in Moscow.
During the visit, Prince Khalid signed an agreement to develop joint military cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
He met also with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu to explore ways to strengthen the military and defense cooperation between the two countries.
