DAMMAM — An awareness campaign was launched on Thursday in Eastern Province, to urge the community to keep following precautionary measures against COVID-19 even after taking the vaccine.

The campaign comes under the directions of Prince Saud Bin Naif, governor of the Eastern Province, and Prince Ahmed Bin Fahd Bin Salman, deputy governor of the Eastern Province.

The campaign, titled "Do Not Slack Off", has been launched with the participation of several official authorities, led by General Directorate of Health Affairs in Eastern Province and Municipality of Eastern Province.

The drive will last for a month and aims to urge community members to not slack off in taking precautionary measures against COVID-19, and raise awareness about the risk of infection, as well as the necessity of taking the vaccine.

The campaign urges community members, even those have taken the vaccine, to keep adhering to precautions in order to protect unvaccinated and reduce spread of the virus and cases to a minimum in Saudi Arabia.

The campaign has various programs including short videos on which officials in Eastern Province participate by sending awareness messages to community.

The officials also issue a set of instructions and advice on the need to continue to adhere to the preventive instructions set by the Ministry of Health such as, but not limited to, wearing masks and social distancing.

It also includes a number of awareness messages and videos presented in several languages to raise awareness among non-Arabic speaking communities.

This is in addition to spreading awareness messages on social media channels, electronic screens and billboards in several sites, main roads, highways and main malls in the Eastern Province.
