RIYADH
- The Arab Coalition early Friday intercepted and destroyed four explosive-laden drones, one ballistic missile launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia targeting Jazan.

The Coalition said, in a tweet carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), “this hostile escalation by Houthi militia targets civilians and innocent people.”

The coalition affirmed that it will take all necessary measures to protect civilians in accordance with international humanitarian laws.

Friday’s attack came a day after the coalition forces destroyed an explosives-laden drone that was launched towards Abha International Airport.

The coalition will “firmly” deal with any threats to civilians and civilian objects, the statement added.
