RIYADH — The Public Health Authority (Weqaya) noted that students who are excluded from receiving the coronavirus vaccine would be treated like immunized students who have completed doses.

The authority confirmed that the obligation to allocate an employee to measure temperature in educational facilities has been canceled in the new update of the guideline for the schools attendance in September.

This was included in the guide as a condition last August at the beginning of the new school year 1443.

The authority noted that the requirement to use barriers on students' tables has been removed in the new guide, with the necessity of sterilizing school facilities without a specific number, after it was sterilized twice daily.

The new update confirmed that school buses could fully utilize the capacity at 100%, instead of the previous 50%.

The authority stressed the importance of the students on continuing to fully adhere to the precautionary measures.

The Ministry of Health announced earlier that exemptions from administering the coronavirus vaccine would only be given for valid medical reasons.

It said in a statement that medical exceptions will be based on medical reports, and that will only be for those who have been clinically proven to be hypersensitive to COVID-19 vaccines or one of the components of the vaccine.
