RIYADH — Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Saudi Arabia Juraj Koudelka reiterated his country’s strong rejection and condemnation of all attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia on civilian targets.

In an interview with Okaz/Saudi Gazette, he said that these attacks do not contribute to ending the conflict and human suffering in Yemen. The envoy also referred to the existence of close cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic in confronting terrorism.

Koudelka described the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 as strategic with unprecedented scope and ambition. “The Kingdom has made giant strides and remarkable achievements in the transformation of the economy and the society, in addition to the tremendous development of electronic and technological services.

“Saudi Arabia has made great progress in the field of tourism development, in addition to a number of other projects that are in the pipeline,” he pointed out.

The ambassador lauded Saudi Arabia for taking decisive measures to stem the spread of coronavirus and secure public health ever since the outbreak of the pandemic. The government has also taken a series of measures to protect the emerging non-oil economy from the repercussions of the pandemic.

“It is great that the Saudi government implemented a number of measures to adapt to the new unprecedented pandemic situation and overcome its repercussions, and it was able to adapt quickly to the new situation while compared to a number of other countries.

“The Kingdom was one of the first non-European countries to be included in the Green List in terms of containing the pandemic, thanks to the commendable great efforts,” he added.
