Full vaccination mandatory to attend public events in Saudi Arabia from Oct. 10

RIYADH — Full
COVID-19 vaccination will be a prerequisite for attending any economic, commercial, cultural, entertainment, sports or tourism activity in Saudi Arabia starting Sunday, Oct. 10, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported quoting an official Ministry of Interior source.

The two-dose vaccination will be also required for attending any cultural, academic, social or entertainment event, or entrance to any governmental or private establishment, as well as for air travel and the using of public transportation.

The order will be effective from 6 a.m. Sunday.

The source clarified that categories exempted from taking vaccinations, as shown by Tawakkalna application, will not be affected by the rule, the source added.

All individuals should abide by the precautionary measures and protocols adopted by the Kingdom against the pandemic, the source concluded.
