RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s (HRSD) decisions on the localization of real estate and cinema professions came into effect on Friday, Oct. 1.
The ministry’s procedural guide stipulates that up to 70% of real estate activities and professions will be localized, in addition to localization of 100% of the targeted professions, which focus on real estate brokerage, real estate marketing, owner’s association, sustainable construction and real estate arbitration.
The ministry added that the decision includes providing more than 11,000 jobs.
In the cinema sector, localization will be at 100% in the sector and all its related activities in the targeted professions.
The target professions include supervisory professions, retail sales, ticket sales, and food and beverage sales.
The first stage of the decisions included granting an exception for some specializations, as the ministry provided that the number of expatriate workers should not exceed 15% of the total workers in the facility.
