RIYADH -- The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission launched on Monday the Publishers Conference, which is being held at Riyadh Front as part of the activities of the Riyadh International Book Fair (RIBF) 2021.

The conference includes local, regional and global participation of representatives and investors of the publishing sector as well as official and specialized organizations to discuss the publishing industry’s future.

The two-day conference includes workshops and dialogue sessions presented by major Arab publishing houses and leaders in the book industry. They will cover the current publishing sector’s challenges and opportunities to benefit from the digital revolution, as well as issues of preserving the intellectual property rights of writers and publishing houses.

The Publishers Conference falls within the efforts of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission aiming to organize the publishing industry in Saudi Arabia and the entire Arab world, and to improve the industry to meet international standards. -- SPA
