ALECSO's director-general praises Saudi Arabia's progress in distance education

RIYADH — The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) Director-General Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar has praised the unprecedented progress achieved by Saudi Arabia in distance education and the fact that education has not stopped for one day despite the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He noted what “Madrasati” has achieved of global excellence with the testimony of international organizations and studies.

During his visit Thursday to the headquarters of the Satellite Broadcasting School of Ein Educational Channels, the Director of ALECSO explained that the organization would benefit from Madrasati as a global front for distance education.

He added, “The launch of 24 educational channels broadcasting lessons daily for all educational stages, including three channels for special education, is considered a unique record and content in the world.”

He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sheikh for his support of ALECSO and its future tendencies.

The ALECSO Director-General had arrived at the headquarters of the Satellite Broadcasting School "Ein", and was received by the Deputy of the Ministry of Education for General Education Dr. Mohammed Al-Meqbil.

Al-Meqbil gave him an explanation about the components of the satellite broadcasting school, the mechanism of filming lessons inside the studios, and the educational supervision over them.

The Supervisor-General of E-learning and Distance Education Dr. Ohood Al-Fares gave a presentation on “Madrasati”, the most prominent services it provides to the beneficiaries and the global achievements and records that it has attained. — SPA
