RIYADH — Several Saudi and Iraqi writers discussed the relationship between the Saudi and Iraqi press, stressing that the media is the industry of thought, culture, and development in societies.

The symposium was organized by the Saudi Press Agency "SPA" on the sidelines of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2021 within "SPA’s” monthly forum entitled "The press and cultural magazines, the beginnings of the Saudi press and its relationship with Iraq".

The participants discussed the media status in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and its role in the development of the two countries.

They stressed that the Saudi media has created an influential social and developmental thought that has played a major role in the progress and growth of the Kingdom, and its position at the regional and international levels. — SPA
