Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Abdullatif Al-Sheikh has instructed the branches of the ministry in all regions of the Kingdom to restart in-person Holy Qur’an memorization circles (halaga) in mosques and women’s Qur’an learning centers.

The minister has directed that only those who have immune health status on their Tawakkalna application after completing vaccination against coronavirus will be allowed to attend the classes.

All other precautionary measures and preventive protocols to stem the spread of coronavirus shall also be taken.

It is noteworthy that Minister Al-Sheikh had issued an order on March 9, 2020, to suspend religious classes, lectures, Qur’an learning sessions for women, and Qur’an memorization learning circles in all mosques in the Kingdom following the outbreak of coronavirus.
