RIYADH — Deputy Minister for Preventive Health Dr. Abdullah Asiri criticized those who are suspicious of the Kingdom’s remarkable achievements in its all-out fight against coronavirus pandemic.

“Those who are suspicious over the sharp fall in coronavirus cases in the Kingdom are the fifth column. It is our right to rejoice despite the haters’ ill will,” he said.

Dr. Asiri, who is an infectious diseases consultant, stressed that the pandemic has receded in the Kingdom, but it is not yet over.

“What has been accomplished is the outcome of the relentless efforts of an entire country.”

He also drew attention to the famous speech of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, addressing the people in the Kingdom on the need to fight the pandemic at the time of its outbreak.

“All the State machinery then rose up to confront the pandemic, and citizens and expatriates responded to it in the best manner,” he said.
