JEDDAH — Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s failed attempt to target civilians and civilian objects in Jazan City with five ballistic missiles.

He also praised the Saudi Air Defense’s efficiency and capabilities in intercepting and destroying the ballistic missiles.

The Secretary-General reiterated the call on the international community to take firm actions to halt the cowardly threats with ballistic missiles and drones used by the Houthi militia to target civilians. He also stressed the OIC’s firm position that considers the Houthi militia’s practices as war crimes and a blatant challenge to international humanitarian law.

The Secretary-General stressed the OIC’s support for all measures that Saudi Arabia takes to confront the practices of the Houthi militia in order to preserve its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned on Thursday the Houthi militia for launching ballistic missiles toward Jazan City in a terrorist act targeting civilians and civilian objects.

Bahrain stressed its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the vigilance and readiness of the Saudi Air Defense Forces that intercepted and destroyed the ballistic missiles. It called on the international community to condemn the terrorist militia's ongoing attacks against Saudi Arabia, Bahrain’s BNA news agency reported. — SPA
