Dr. Hanan, French Senate’s Goulet discuss cooperation at parliamentary level

RIYADH — Shoura Council Assistant Speaker Dr. Hanan Bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi met here Monday with member of the French Senate Nathalie Goulet and the accompanying delegation, as part of her visit to Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common interest, and ways to enhance the bilateral relations and cooperation at the parliamentary level between the Shoura Council and the French Senate.

Al-Ahmadi praised the bilateral relations at the parliamentary level that bring together the Shoura Council and the French Parliament.

She also reviewed the pioneering efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia at the international level in the framework of promoting global economic growth, environmental sustainability, support for joint international action to confront the coronavirus pandemic, and the achievements made during Saudi Arabia's presidency of the G20 last year.

For her part, the member of the French Senate stressed the importance of Saudi Arabia's role in confronting and combating terrorism and the measures it has taken, including establishing Etidal Center, which plays an important role in this field, praising the Kingdom's current efforts that require joint action with various regional and international institutions. — SPA
