RIYADH — The intervention of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) helped a total of 29,573 workers to get their wages worth SR54 million that had been delayed for one month.

The Crisis Management Department at the branch of the ministry in the Riyadh region managed to oblige 19 contracting companies to disburse unpaid wages of their 29,573 workers within just one month, and the amounts totaled SR54,436,324.

This was after meeting with representatives of the companies, examining the condition of workers, and working out a monthly action plan that includes weekly visits and monthly updates to address the crisis.

It is noteworthy that the Crisis Management Department undertakes the tasks of handling the communications received with regard to improving the conditions of workers in companies, and handing them over their unpaid wages after coordination with owners of companies and meeting with representatives of embassies and establishments.

The department officials make periodic visits to work sites and accommodation of workers to reassure the labor and financial situation, and find solutions of problems concerning both workers and employers.
