RIYADH — The Saudi-Danish Friendship Committee at the Shoura Council, headed by Hazza Al-Qahtani, met on Thursday in Riyadh with Denmark's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ole Emil Moesby and a number of officials at the embassy.

At the outset of the meeting, Al-Qahtani welcomed the Danish ambassador and stressed the importance of such meetings in enhancing communication in a way that contributes to further enhancing bilateral ties in various fields.

Both sides praised the distinguished ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Denmark. They reviewed aspects of these relations at the economic and investment levels.

For his part, Ambassador Moesby highlighted the importance of the Middle East Green Initiative that Saudi Arabia has announced and its role in maintaining the environment, nature and earth. He praised the safety and stability in Saudi Arabia, which he said was due to its measures for preserving the safety and well being of its residents.

The meeting also went over issues of mutual interest and means to further develop bilateral ties and cooperation to wider scopes in all fields. — SPA
